Sorry to barge in. I am trying to install GhostBSD on a 2010 17" MBP. I made a USB stick and it starts up just fine. All the text starts scrolling up the screen until it gets to "loading wpa supplicant" at which point the machine freezes up. I tried starting with an ethernet cable plugged in, but again it hung up when loading the spa supplicant.
Apple uses Broadcom wifi and while the laptop is pretty old, Linux distros will auto load the drivers for the card. I am not sure how to get past this and would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you and have a good day.

Thanks for the response, LibreQuest. The information there is about the same age as the laptop itself:) It is a very nice machine. The 17" 4:3 screen is very easy on my old eyes. I have been trying a few variants of Linux, and BSD in hopes of keeping it in service. Again thanks for the link.
