Und was genau passiert da?

Re: Development proposal
Hi bmelo and welcome to the forums! I've been an Arch Linux user before I switched to FreeBSD and I've installed Manjaro and Antergos for some friends. Pacman is definitely a great package manager that I liked a lot. I'm not completely sure if it fits well into the FreeBSD world. A few years earlier...

Re: Syth problem
I'm also a heavy Synth user and I've continued to use it on all of my machines (both GhostBSD and FreeBSD). With version 2.x it works well so far. What issues did you have that cannot be fixed? And what is the problem with Ravenports (that I put a lot of hope into)?

Re: New NetworkMgr and I need testers
Will give it a shot some evening during the week (I hope that I didn't already put my USB-LAN-adapter in some box). I rolled two MATE isos yesterday evening, BTW. The first one was a bit too early since it used OpenRC which obviously doesn't work just yet. But the second one booting the old rc did b...

Re: switching base and building modes
So, do I get this right? You're discussing the steps of changing our OS base to the TrueOS stable build and how to do it? If the repo that Eric pointed at contains classical distribution tarballs for TrueOS core (which it looks like), those should be used in ghostbsd-build, right? The more complicat...

Re: The future of GhostBSD
Hooray for the great news! I've been passionate about TrueOS in the past and tried to like Lumina, but that has killed the experience for me. I'm a GTK person and for whatever reason I cannot stand the Qt looks. GhostBSD on a TrueOS base (with OpenRC goodness and the much better driver support) soun...

Re: On ZFS becoming the only available FS
Not sure if you know, but firefox by itself take about 8GB of ram on my most common use and i386 have limits of 3GB, yes you can have firefox running or another browser, but it is making the system sluggish. Sure, I had an i386 system running with GhostBSD. It certainly wasn't going to win any race...
