Re: Some Little Issues
@1: I had the same issue on Mate (years ago). You have 2 settings: regard computer as idle after 5 minutes (where you can activate the screen saver plus the option to lock the screen) and then the power mgt setting where you can also define when to put the display to sleep. I found these double sett...

Re: WifiBox FreeBSD setup, Use Alpine Linux Wifi driver software

Re: WideWine in Chromium
sudo pkg install ports sudo pkg install -g 'GhostBSD*-dev' cd /usr/ports/www/linux-widevine-cdm sudo make install clean Disney+ works for me, but Netflix doesn't. It did work and might/will work again in the future. I'll just wait for an update. To update the port: sudo pkg install portmaster (once...

Re: Spaming "hdac0: Command timeout on address 2" in the dmesg
Saw this for the first time after upgrading my Lenovo T-580 to 24.04.1. Sound worked, though, but the icons in the task bar were greyed out and did not respond.
Solution: add the line to /boot/loader.conf
Solution: add the line
Code: Select all

A while ago I had the same problem. Inform @ericbsd via Telegram that wine and wine64 are not the same version.

Re: Automatic Sanoid ZFS snapshots & pruning
For me it was just the most convenient solution. Maybe in combination with syncoid but then... you can write a script for that too, of course.
Share your script, if you like, so other readers have alternatives to chose from.
